I don’t usually post pictures of food, but this might have been the greatest meal I’ve ever eaten.
Bacon wrapped scallops, grilled asparagus, and lot of Boulevard Wheat.
Practical economy car from a local show for your time.

1/2 pound burger and fries from an acclaimed burger shack in old town, wish me luck

I went to Cars and stuffed my face full of a fat sandwich and fried mac and cheese bites.

I made seafood chowder. Cod scallops and shrimp. I bet those 5 scallops cost more than my whole pot of chowder.

Sounds tasty

Off brand Honey O’s with a plastic spoon. Tis the only way to recover from a year of working 7-7, 6 day work weeks just to be able to pay the bills and save anything on the side to be able to drop over $3500 on material for house renovations just a few hours ago.
Married adult life, yo. :]

Probably, but it wasn’t actually too bad. Less than $10.

Dude, Honey O’s are a solid choice, pretty damn tasty.

Prawn and Scallop Prik Pow and some Born and Raised IPA. It’s a great thing when your favorite Thai place shares a building with your favorite local brewery.

Sounds amazing, I wish I had a good Thai place locally.

I’m more of a honey puff guy. Here in the Bay Area I wouldn’t dare even start thinking about buying a place. I considered buying a place and renting it, then maybe living in it when I’m 65.

I’m sure that foodies and people who insist everything must be 100% authentic would turn their noses up at it, but I think the food is damn good and that’s good enough in my book.

I just started my (self proclaimed) greatest Beer Brisket on the planet.
It’s running a bit hot right now but it’ll cool a bit shortly. By 6pm tomorrow it should be ready. And needed.

Our local Mexican place isn’t very “Authentic”, but it’s pretty good and the owner is an exceptionally great guy.

Smoked brisket is the best BBQ, and one of my all time favorites.

Try a Bison Brisket sometime on Cherry. It’s spendy but it will blow your bloody mind.

I past Boulevard on my way home tonight. Are you in the Midwest? It’s always nice to see nonKC people enjoying our home town brew

That’s a plan too. Here in Texas, a home and a automobile is a must

Heeeeck yeah!

STL, but I just graduated from K-State. I’ve toured their facility, and it’s my go to casual drinking beer.

I’ve another hour at work before I can get home and enjoy some nice food.
I find myself posting a few pictures of food as I like cars but I’m not a tinker-er such as engine maintenance etc... I love cleaning them but I also love food and if I can’t for some reason clean a car I make myself some nice food.
So I apologise if my posting food annoys anyone, it’s just I haven’t had a car to clean to post. Sorry. :(

Definitely doesn’t annoy me! I’m amazed at how creative/good at cooking some of my fellow Opponauts are. It’s a skill which I admire greatly.

So far, two beers.

Not a bad decision, what ya drinking?

Just got home from a local brewery, about to open another Dogfish Head something or rather.

Soooo am I the only one who sees the car first in the post? Makes it look like the greatest meal you’ve ever eaten was a Geo Metro dragster. If so, that’s gonna cause some serious heartburn.

I swapped around the images to keep Oppo cars. It makes less sense, but I consider it the Oppo way.

Eh, it’s all good. Just thought it was funny. The scallops do look tasty though. Grilled?
![]() 07/31/2016 at 00:22 |

Food is about creativity and taking a recipe and tweaking it. Like I wouldn’t of thought about wrapping scallops in bacon but then again everything tastes better for having bacon.
I think modern day living has required people to learn for about cooking and they’ve learned to adapt it to whatever is in the fridge or the cupboard or most convenient.
I do get concerned that I over post food and my Skoda so I do try and limit it or just post it in a reply.
I’ve not quite decided what to have when I get home other than it’s going to have steak in there somewhere. Lol.
![]() 07/31/2016 at 00:26 |

Yep, on the charcoal grill, and they were very tasty!

Nice! Best way to fix them imo.

There can never be too much Skoda. I’m not much for steak, but that’s because my mom insist on cooking it well done.

Well we have condos and apartments here obviously but a house is like a castle. Even houses that were working class houses before are almost a million now.

Well, yeah, there is much pleasure I eating something that has been destroyed. Medium is as far as I will go and no further.
Steak can be amazing when done right.

Tombstone pizza. Because lazy.

Giant bowl of vegan Pho. This isn’t a picture of tonight’s, it’s from a few days ago. We eat this probably four nights a week because it’s effing delicious.

Frozen pizzas are too convenient not to be awesome.

I do love some mushrooms.

Fuuuuuuuck! Dude you can get 2000+ sq/ft places here with double garages and good front and backyards in the $80-90k mark all in OK neighborhoods here.
Heck the place in front of us is 2 story, 5bed, gameroom, double garage for $128k.

Finally home. Rump steak, garlic rostie potatoes and garlic mushrooms (I think I used too mush garlic on the mushrooms, at least I won’t get attacked by vampires anytime soon).

10/10: That looks delicious
![]() 07/31/2016 at 02:09 |

Oh yeah I know. But I can’t do my job there! And I like being here, despite the issues, this is all in one county:
Some good driving too...
![]() 07/31/2016 at 02:15 |

It is but I used too much garlic when I coated the mushrooms, the rostie and the steak took some of the garlic-ie-ness away though.
It was that or fry some diced potatoes till crispy, drain the oil and then add some chilli sauce and a couple of beaten eggs to make spicy scrambled potatoes.

O wow I was expecting fancy stuff like that to be like $50
![]() 07/31/2016 at 10:35 |

True true! We can find that stuff sort of here too but it’s speed out way too far lol. Plus, the Bay Area THRASH scene \m/
